When is Bill Plaschke going to learn there’s a reason that Henry Bibby is a coach and he isn’t? Desmon Farmer behaved like an infant and was properly put on the bench. Bibby learned his basketball from John Wooden. Who taught Plaschke?

Didn’t realize USC basketball was all about Henry Bibby being right and 21-year-olds being wrong. Didn’t know being an effective leader meant undermining a team effort. Who appointed Henry Bibby surrogate parent anyhow?

On the day of the Pac-10 final I dragged myself from a sick bed to go to Staples to support my alma mater, USC. I gave it my best shot, but there came Henry Bibby with another edition of his doghouse, which may well have cost the Trojans an NCAA berth.

I feel not only cheated, but I, along with so many others, have also learned one of Bibby’s life lessons: He is an intractable, boorish jerk.

Don’t you think it’s kind of ironic that Coach Bibby is so adamant about teaching his players “life lessons,” when he was out of his son’s entire life? Ironic also, that Sam Clancy literally flunked out of USC and stopped attending classes his final semester (and was vocal about it) yet never received any sanctions from Coach Bibby?

Coach Bibby needs to be more objective and less subjective in his player discipline. If he doesn’t stop with his pick-and-choose discipline, everyone is going to continue to suffer: the players, the program, the fans.
