Commission Endorses Updating General Plan

Planning commissioners this week approved updating the city’s General Plan, the master document that guides land-use decisions.
At the suggestion of commission Vice Chairman Michael Farris, city staff would merge specifics of the land-use, circulation and open space portions of the General Plan to create a single diagram incorporating every change that has occurred to the planning document since its adoption in 1970. The issue now goes to the City Council.
