‘Judge Judy’ moves for news

KCBS-TV Channel 2 is reviving its 4 p.m. newscast starting Monday to make the station more competitive in the late afternoon local news competition.

“Judge Judy,” which has been leading into the 5 p.m. news since 2000, will move to sister station KCAL-TV Channel 9 at 4 p.m., replacing KCAL’s 4 p.m. newscast. Both stations will now have 5 1/2 hours of news, with no overlap.

Harold Greene and Ann Martin will anchor the 4 p.m. newscast, while Drew Griffin and Gretchen Carr will anchor the 4:30 p.m. newscast.
