O’Reilly by degree

Richard Beck Peacock demands proof of credentials for those commentators he describes as having “simply arrived at radio and TV stations with a provocative delivery” (Letters, March 23).

Peacock goes on to cite “political science, history, or journalism from respected institutions” as some yardstick of authority.

I take great pleasure in informing Peacock of the credentials of Bill O’Reilly:

(a) a bachelor’s in history, Marist College;

(b) a master’s in broadcast journalism, School of Communication, Boston University;

(c) a master’s in public policy, JFK School of Government, Harvard University.
