Disbarred Lawyer Jailed for Violating Probation

A disbarred attorney who once worked for South Gate despite her disbarment was ordered to be jailed without bail after a judge ruled that she had violated terms of her probation.
The judge’s decision came after prosecutors accused Cristeta Paguirigan, who has several embezzlement convictions, of witness tampering in the latest case against her. She was indicted on four felony grand theft counts for allegedly billing clients for legal services after being disbarred.
