Casting: The one-time-only performance of “My Fair Lady” at the Hollywood Bowl on Aug. 3 will star John Lithgow as Professor Henry Higgins, Melissa Errico as Eliza Doolittle and, as Eliza’s hard-drinking dad, Roger Daltrey, lead singer of the Who.

Film fest: Lions Gate Films’ “The Cooler,” starring William H. Macy and Alec Baldwin, has been selected to open the ninth annual IFP Los Angeles Film Festival on June 11, while closing-night honors on June 21 go to IFC Films’ “Camp,” written and directed by Todd Graff. Other films getting their L.A. premiere at the festival include “28 Days Later,” “Buffalo Soldiers” and “Magdalene Sisters.”

‘Idol’ fare: The 10 “American Idol” finalists have been added to the Wango Tango concert May 17 at the Rose Bowl.

‘Matrix’ fix: Fans waiting for the arrival of “The Matrix Reloaded” next week can pass the time watching the original. It airs on Fox at 8 tonight and also is playing through Tuesday at Universal CityWalk Loews Cinemas.
