A $50,000 reward is being offered for information leading to the conviction of the killer of a 39-year-old man found beaten to death in his Woodland Hills apartment, authorities said.

Half the reward is being offered by the family of the victim, Kyle Frieze, said Officer Jason Lee, a spokesman for the Los Angeles Police Department. The other half is being offered by the city of Los Angeles.

Frieze was a financial official who worked for Encino-Tarzana Regional Medical Center, Lee said. He was found dead on April 16 about 4 p.m. in his apartment in the 22100 block of Erwin Street.
