What: “Sports Fan’s Road Trip.”

Where: Travel Channel, Thursday, 10 p.m.

This one-hour show is part of a new series that takes viewers behind the scenes on nostalgic tours, and this edition is for sports fans. Although the show’s host, James Brown, starts at Dodger Stadium, the show mainly features Baltimore’s Camden Yards, Texas Stadium, Madison Square Garden and Yankee Stadium.

It’s an interesting, informative show, although obviously low budget. There is no footage of any of the memorable events that took place in these arenas, just still photos.

However, there is an impressive lineup of tour guides, including Cal Ripken, Tony Dorsett, Roger Staubach and Walt Frazier.

Tony Morante, a real tour guide, a veteran of 40 years, is featured in the Yankee Stadium segment.

Oddly, the show ends with a tour of Las Vegas sports books. One wonders what the producers were thinking. Why would they link legendary sports arenas with gambling in Las Vegas?
