Spooked Cows Run Off Cliff
From Staff and Wire Reports
A dozen Holstein cows grazing near Skywalker Ranch apparently got spooked and ran off a 50-foot cliff.
Motorists on Lucas Valley Road saw the cows fall over the hilltop at about 11 a.m. Wednesday, said Sheriff’s Sgt. Doug Pittman.
The animals probably had been scared by something, said John Reese, a spokesman for the Marin Humane Society.
Two of the cows were euthanized by a sheriff’s deputy.
