Update -- The last time a women’s pro basketball league played in this state, the New England Blizzard was the American Basketball League’s top draw. The Sun is hoping for similar support -- or at least more fans than the team got when it was the Orlando Miracle last year, averaging 7,115 at home. That was the WNBA’s third-lowest home average. The Sparks were the league’s best road team in 2002 for the third consecutive season, going 13-3 last year and 38-10 over three years. The teams played once last season, L.A. winning at Staples Center, 92-84.
