Hornets Lose Mashburn
New Orleans Hornet forward Jamal Mashburn will be sidelined six to eight weeks after undergoing arthroscopic surgery on his right knee Monday.
The surgery to remove loose particles from Mashburn’s knee took place in Miami.
Mashburn missed all eight preseason games and the Hornets’ first three regular-season games because of a bone bruise on his right knee. He was placed on the injured list on Oct. 27.
Mashburn led the Hornets in scoring last season, averaging 21.6 points.
