9 Hurt as Car Collides With Job Corps Bus
Nine people were injured when a car ran into a Job Corps bus carrying youths home from a basketball game, sending the bus careening up an embankment on Interstate 5.
Five youths on the bus and two staff members were taken to hospitals with minor to moderate injuries after the collision Wednesday night, authorities said.
The driver of the car suffered serious internal injuries and a passenger was less seriously injured, said California Highway Patrol Sgt. Tim Santillan.
He said the driver apparently was changing lanes when he hit the 25-foot bus.
