Buffalo Won’t Be Killed

In Defense of Animals did a great deal of research to secure a humane home for the Catalina Island buffalo. It was, therefore, disheartening to read Barry Breslow’s uninformed Nov. 17 letter in The Times. The Catalina buffalo were placed with individual Native Americans who do not use their land for the hunting or slaughter of animals but rather for the purposes of conservation.
