The Defense Department last week also identified the following American military personnel killed in Iraq and Afghanistan:

Michael D. Acklin II, 25, of Louisville, Ky.; sergeant, Army. Acklin died Nov. 15 when two 101st Airborne Division UH-60 Black Hawk helicopters crashed in Mosul, Iraq. He was assigned to the 1st Battalion, 320th Field Artillery, 101st Airborne Division (Air Assault) at Ft. Campbell, Ky.

Genaro Acosta, 26, of Fair Oaks, Calif.; specialist, Army. Acosta died Nov. 11 when his Bradley fighting vehicle hit and detonated two improvised explosive devices in Taji, Iraq. He was assigned to the 1st Battalion, 44th Air Defense Artillery Regiment, 4th Infantry Division (Mech) at Ft. Hood, Texas.

Ryan T. Baker, 24, of Browns Mills, N.J.; specialist, Army. Baker died Nov. 15 when two 101st Airborne Division UH-60 Black Hawk helicopters crashed in Mosul, Iraq. He was assigned to the 4th Battalion, 101st Aviation Regiment, 101st Airborne Division (Air Assault) at Ft. Campbell, Ky.

Jay A. Blessing, 23, of Tacoma, Wash.; sergeant, Army. Blessing died of his injuries Nov. 14 after an improvised explosive device detonated in Asadabad, Afghanistan. He was assigned to the Headquarters and Headquarters Company, 2nd Battalion, 75th Ranger Regiment at Ft. Lewis, Wash.

Alexander S. Coulter, 35, of Tennessee; chief warrant officer, Army. Coulter died of his injuries Nov. 17 after his vehicle ran over an improvised explosive device in Baqubah, Iraq. He was assigned to the Headquarters and Headquarters Company, 124th Signal Battalion, 4th Infantry Division (Mech) at Ft. Hood, Texas.

Jeremiah J. Digiovanni, 21, of Tylertown, Miss.; specialist, Army. Digiovanni died Nov. 15 when two 101st Airborne Division UH-60 Black Hawk helicopters crashed in Mosul, Iraq. He was assigned to the 4th Battalion, 101st Aviation Regiment, 101st Airborne Division (Air Assault) at Ft. Campbell, Ky.

William D. Dusenbery, 30, of Fairview Heights, Ill.; specialist, Army. Dusenbery died Nov. 15 when two 101st Airborne Division UH-60 Black Hawk helicopters crashed in Mosul, Iraq. He was assigned to the 4th Battalion, 101st Aviation Regiment, 101st Airborne Division (Air Assault) at Ft. Campbell, Ky.

Jacob S. Fletcher, 28, of Bay Shore, N.Y.; private first class, Army. Fletcher was riding on a bus Nov. 13 when an improvised explosive device detonated in Samara, Iraq. He was assigned to Company C, 2nd Battalion (Airborne), 503rd Infantry Regiment, 173rd Airborne Brigade at Camp Ederle, Italy.

Richard W. Hafer, 21, of Cross Lanes, W.Va.; private first class, Army. Hafer died Nov. 15 when two 101st Airborne Division UH-60 Black Hawk helicopters crashed in Mosul, Iraq. He was assigned to the 1st Battalion, 320th Field Artillery, 101st Airborne Division (Air Assault) at Ft. Campbell, Ky.

Sheldon R. Hawk Eagle, 21, of Grand Forks, N.D.; private first class, Army. Hawk Eagle died Nov. 15 when two 101st Airborne Division UH-60 Black Hawk helicopters crashed in Mosul, Iraq. He was assigned to the 1st Battalion, 320th Field Artillery, 101st Airborne Division (Air Assault) at Ft. Campbell, Ky.

Timothy L. Hayslett, 26, of Newville, Pa.; sergeant, Army. Hayslett died of his injuries Nov. 15 after being struck by an improvised explosive device while on patrol in Baghdad. He was assigned to the Headquarters and Headquarters Company, 1st Battalion, 37th Armored Regiment, 1st Armored Division in Friedberg, Germany.

Damian L. Heidelberg, 21, of Batesville, Miss.; private first class, Army. Heidelberg died Nov. 15 when two 101st Airborne Division UH-60 Black Hawk helicopters crashed in Mosul, Iraq. He was assigned to the 1st Battalion, 187th Infantry Regiment, 101st Airborne Division (Air Assault) at Ft. Campbell, Ky.

Irving Medina, 22, of Middletown, N.Y.; specialist, Army. Medina was traveling in a convoy Nov. 14 when it struck an improvised explosive device in Baghdad. He was assigned to the 4th Battalion, 1st Field Artillery Regiment, 3rd Brigade Combat Team, 1st Armored Division at Ft. Riley, Kan.

James A. Shull, 32, of California; captain, Army. Shull died Nov. 17 from a nonhostile gunshot wound in Baghdad. He was assigned to the Headquarters Battery, 4th Battalion, 1st Field Artillery Regiment, 1st Armored Division at Ft. Riley, Kan.

John R. Sullivan, 26, of Countryside, Ill.; specialist, Army. Sullivan died Nov. 15 when two 101st Airborne Division UH-60 Black Hawk helicopters crashed in Mosul, Iraq. He was assigned to the 626th Forward Support Battalion, 101st Airborne Division (Air Assault) at Ft. Campbell, Ky.

Scott M. Tyrrell, 21, of Sterling, Ill.; private, Army. Tyrell died Thursday at Brooke Army Medical Center in San Antonio, Texas, of wounds he suffered when an ammunition point caught fire Nov. 14 in Tikrit, Iraq. He was assigned to C Company, 299th Engineer Battalion, 4th Infantry Division (Mech) at Ft. Hood, Texas.
