Property Owners Sue County Over Study
A pair of Fish Camp property owners are suing Mariposa County over an environmental impact report for the proposed Silver Tip Resort Village.
Robert E. Cooper and John J. Swenson claim county supervisors approved the report illegally and ignored information showing that more environmental studies are needed to determine whether the resort should be built in Fish Camp.
Cooper and Swenson said the report’s Nov. 4 approval came too late to comply with the deadline set under the California Environmental Quality Act.
The resort would include a 137-room hotel, a community center, three small conference centers and rent-managed housing for 20 employees.
