Police Chief to Assume Association Presidency

Garden Grove Police Chief Joseph Polisar will be sworn in Oct. 25 as president of the International Assn. of Chiefs of Police, officials said Tuesday.
The ceremony will be held at the group’s 110th annual conference in Philadelphia.
As president, Polisar, who has been with the Garden Grove department for five years, will focus on such matters as leadership development, terrorism intelligence sharing, legislative efforts in Congress and traffic safety, a spokesman said.
