Suspect Jailed in Theft Case
From a Times Staff Writer
A Cypress man has been arrested on suspicion of stealing the identities of people, most of them deceased, and funneling more than $100,000 into overseas bank accounts, police said Wednesday.
Avedis Hagopian, 29, is being held at Orange County Jail in lieu of $250,000 bail.
Police raided Hagopian’s apartment in the 4400 block of Casa Grande Circle in Cypress on Monday morning; several credit cards, fake driver’s licenses and a list of potential victims were discovered, police said.
