Get on the Road to Fuel Efficiency and Leave Gas Guzzlers in the Dust

I could not believe the amount of ink and space devoted to the most irresponsible automobiles made today (Special Auto Issue, Sept. 14). You could have promoted the hybrids and the few electric vehicles that are still being manufactured. Instead of celebrating gas-guzzling behemoths and racing cars, we should be thinking about and encouraged to buy cars that are fuel efficient and that share a concern about the sustainability of our civilization.
