Stu Barnes scored two goals 20 seconds apart and Bill Guerin added another a few minutes later in the second period, leading the Dallas Stars past the Minnesota Wild, 3-1, on Sunday night at Dallas.

Barnes’ outburst came so quickly that the arena announcer was still saying he’d just scored his fourth goal of the season when Barnes got his fifth. This was his second two-goal game of the season, and it matches Ilya Kovalchuk for the league lead.

Guerin scored 4:27 later by redirecting a long shot from Sergei Zubov. It was upheld after a long video review examined whether Guerin’s stick was too high.
