From Times Staff Reports

Orange County will sell up to $60 million in bonds for public improvements for a new development in Ladera Ranch, an unincorporated community east of San Juan Capistrano, that will be repaid by those who buy homes in the area.

The bonds, which must be approved by property owners, will be used for roads, gutters, storm drains, fire and sheriff’s facilities.

Supervisors also created a community services district to coordinate the improvements in the development, which is planned to include 1,259 homes.
