From Times Staff Reports
Orange County will spend $2.6 million to reimburse Southern California Edison for placing utility lines along Laguna Canyon Road underground.
Supervisors approved the work Tuesday. They said county officials had assumed, incorrectly, that the job would be included in a separate $16-million project by the state Department of Transportation to improve the scenic highway.
Transmission lines will be buried along Laguna Canyon Road from the San Joaquin Hills toll road to Laguna Beach.
