A mother who arranged for her son’s kidnapping last year was convicted of child abduction Wednesday in Riverside County Superior Court.

Debra Rose, 39, was convicted of felony burglary, assault with a deadly weapon, child stealing and child concealing for her role in the abduction of Nicholas Michael Farber, now 10, from the Palm Desert home he shared with his father.

The abduction triggered an Amber Alert on the heels of the fatal abductions of 7-year-old Danielle van Dam in San Diego County and 5-year-old Samantha Runnion in Orange County.
