Liza splits up with hubby Gest

Liza Minnelli filed for divorce Wednesday, a day after her estranged husband, producer David Gest, sued her for $10 million, accusing her of alcohol-fueled violence that caused him neurological damage and headaches.
Gest, 50, alleged in court papers that Minnelli, 57, flew into drunken rages on several occasions, insulting and striking him.
Minnelli decried the allegations as “hurtful and without merit.”
Minnelli and Gest separated in July, just 16 months after they wed at a celebrity-studded ceremony.
