2 Officers, Ex-Colleague to Be Tried Over Brawl
The two San Francisco police officers and a former officer who allegedly provoked a street brawl over takeout fajitas will stand trial on felony assault charges. But a judge also reduced some of the charges.
San Francisco Judge Philip Moscone ruled that Alex Fagan Jr., the son of Police Chief Alex Fagan Sr., and officers David Lee and Matthew Tonsing would face two felony and two misdemeanor charges for allegedly attacking two men outside a bar. The three have pleaded not guilty; no trial date has been set.
In granting the trial, Moscone reduced two of the felony charges to misdemeanors.
