2 Charged With Toxic Dumping
From a Times Staff Writer
Two officials of a defunct Fullerton environmental cleanup company were indicted Wednesday for allegedly violating the Clean Air Act by dumping asbestos- and lead-contaminated wastes.
John Vincent Finnerty, 40, of Lake Elsinore and Patrick Joseph Deegan, 39, of Corona -- both of the former Remtech Restoration Corp. -- face possible prison terms and fines if convicted in federal court. The case stems from the August discovery of 800 bags of abandoned asbestos-contaminated material.
