Korea Expert Resigns
Re “Top U.S. Expert on North Korea Quits on Eve of Talks,” Aug. 27: An associate of U.S. special envoy Jack Pritchard states that Pritchard’s resignation reflects an administration that is “not geared to listen to different points of view or to let the diplomatic professionals do the job they need to do, which is to engage the other side and find out what they’re thinking” -- a fatal flaw that has created the quagmire in Iraq (yes, Mr. Rumsfeld, you do do quagmires) and that I hope will result in the downfall of Bush and his gang of outlaws in the White House.
