Velasquez Named Head of O.C. Fair Board

Santa Ana businesswoman Patricia Velasquez has been elected president of the Orange County Fair & Exposition Center’s board of directors.
Velasquez, 37, has been the fair board’s vice president for the last year, and was elected to her new post at the board’s monthly meeting Thursday. She is founder and president of LUPAT Corp., a real estate and mortgage brokerage. She succeeds Ruben A. Smith, a Santa Ana attorney.
