When will debates be held?
The first debate, sponsored by the Contra Costa Times, KTVU-TV Channel 2 and KQED-FM, will take place today in Walnut Creek from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. Three other debates have been announced. A coalition of civil rights and minority groups has scheduled a debate for Tuesday in Los Angeles. The California Broadcasters Assn. will host a session in Sacramento on Sept. 17. Another debate, sponsored by the Los Angeles Times and CNN, is scheduled for Sept. 30.
Other debates may be announced.
