Fresno State Defeats Oregon State, 16-14

Brett Visintainer kicked a 47-yard field goal with 31 seconds left Friday night as Fresno State rallied to upset Oregon State, 16-14, at Fresno.

Steven Jackson rushed for 128 yards and caught five passes for 116 more for the Beavers (1-1), who couldn’t survive Derek Anderson’s five interceptions and 14 penalties for 128 yards.

Marque Davis caught seven passes for 129 yards for the Bulldogs (1-1), who improved to 6-0 against Oregon State in Fresno.

Oklahoma starting safety Brandon Everage was arrested at 10 a.m. in Norman, Okla., and ticketed for failing to stop at a stop sign, driving without a valid driver’s license, transporting an open container of alcohol, not having insurance verification, driving with an expired tag and not wearing a seat belt, police said. Everage later traveled with the team to Alabama and is expected to play in today’s game against the Crimson Tide....
