* Jeffrey Clifford has been named vice president, production, at Warner Bros. Pictures, said Jeff Rabinov, the studio’s president, production. Clifford joins Warner Bros. Pictures from Buena Vista Motion Pictures Group, where he has served as vice president, production, since 2000, rising from the post of creative executive, which he assumed in 1998.

* Ford Motor Co. named Bruce Blythe to the new post of chief strategy officer. He is the latest company veteran brought back to help Chief Executive William Clay Ford Jr. run the automaker.

* PG&E; National Energy Group plans to change its name to National Energy & Gas Transmission Inc. pending approval by the Bankruptcy Court in Maryland. The change reflects the separation from parent PG&E; Corp.

* CSX Corp. Chief Operating Officer Alan Crown retired after increased train delays and a systemwide service shutdown. Chief Executive Michael Ward will take control of day-to-day operations. CSX is the third-largest U.S. railroad.
