Suit Alleges Academic Fraud at 2-Year Colleges
A man has sued three Orange County community college districts for giving class credit for team workouts or practices or for classes that never existed.
Andrew Carl, father of two former Fullerton High School baseball players, sued the Coast, North Orange County and South Orange County community college districts, claiming that taxpayers have been defrauded of more than $206 million since 1997.
An official with the South Orange County district said she was unaware of the suit. North Orange County officials declined to comment and Coast officials said they were looking into it.
