Boy, 1, and Girl, 8, Shot While Riding in Car

A 1-year-old boy and an 8-year-old girl riding in a car with their mother were shot in their shoulders Monday when they drove through gunfire, police said.
The children were being treated for non-life-threatening injuries at Harbor-UCLA Medical Center, Lt. Dennis Kato said.
The shooting occurred about 8 p.m. as they drove east on 103rd Street near Croesus Avenue. Detectives said a witness reported seeing gang members firing, but police had no descriptions.
