The Answer for Kenseth Is Blowing in the Wind

Hurricane Isabel is creating havoc on the East Coast, but race driver Matt Kenseth was one beneficiary. Because of the impending bad weather, qualifying for Sunday’s NASCAR race in Dover, Del., was canceled and Kenseth, the circuit’s points leader, was awarded the pole.

“The last thing you want to do is give Matt Kenseth an advantage, and the weather has done that,” NBC’s Bill Weber said. “Isabel must be a Matt Kenseth fan.”

The first clue: When Dennis Rodman was arrested by Newport Beach police earlier this month, it wasn’t the first time he’d been picked up for public drunkenness.

But this time, said Greg Cote of the Miami Herald, “Police became suspicious when he began acting normal.”

No support: The announced crowd at Seattle’s 38-0 NFL victory over Arizona Sunday at Tempe, Ariz., was only 23,127.

A real handicap: Actor John Ingle of ABC’s “General Hospital” shot well into triple figures in a recent golf tournament at San Dimas Canyon.

“I can’t count that high,” he said of his score. “I kept using the wrong club.”

There was a reason for that. The tournament, sponsored by Pasadena’s DeLacey Club 41 restaurant, had a “4+1” format, requiring all participants to use only five-irons.
