RECALL Q

Share

If I request an absentee ballot, can I still vote at the polls on election day?

*

Yes. Voters who have requested absentee ballots, or who are registered as permanent absentee voters, can still vote at the polls. But absentee voters have to turn in their unused absentee ballots to poll workers before they can cast precinct ballots. Voters who lose their absentee ballots can still vote at their local polling places. They will be given provisional ballots that will be counted only after all regular and absentee votes are tallied. The reason for this system is that it allows election officials to check provisional ballots against voting records to make sure no one votes twice.
