A family argument ended violently Wednesday morning when a Panorama City woman was fatally stabbed, allegedly by her brother, and police are seeking the public’s help in finding the man.

Victor Manuel Desantiago, 24, has a history of violent crime and spent nearly two years in a Texas prison for stabbing another relative, police said.

Shortly after his parole about two weeks ago, he moved in with his sister, Blanca Desantiago, 28, a single mother of two. During an argument at the apartment in the 15000 block of Parthenia Street, the sister was stabbed multiple times, said Los Angeles Police Department Capt. Joe Curreri.

The victim’s children, who were at home at the time of the attack, were unharmed, but an unidentified male was also stabbed. He was treated and released from a local hospital, police said.

The brother “is a drug abuser and is considered armed and dangerous,” Curreri said.

The slaying came less than 24 hours after another killing about a mile away on Parthenia Street, in which a man was shot to death in an apparent drug deal gone bad, police said.

Anyone with information on either case is urged to call the LAPD’s Devonshire Division at (818) 756-8291 or (818) 756-8285.
