Official Is Promoted to City Manager Post

San Diego’s assistant city manager will become the city’s head administrator next month.
The City Council voted Tuesday to promote Lamont Ewell to the city manager position when Michael Uberuaga retires April 9.
Ewell pledged to restore the city’s troubled Wall Street credit rating, resolve a federal investigation into the city’s financial history and create a financial plan for San Diego.
