A winner of three of her first five starts in 2004, Bootleg And Susy will try to win another for new connections in tonight’s second, a $5,000 claimer for older fillies and mares at 4 1/2 furlongs.
A 5-year-old Allen’s Prospect mare, Bootleg And Susy will debut for owner Robert Falb and trainer Chuck Treece after being claimed for $4,000 out of a victory by a nose on March 21.
A Pennsylvania-bred, Bootleg And Susy has won eight of 22 in her career with five of the victories coming at Los Alamitos. Baltazar Contreras will ride the dark bay.
Her opposition includes Brite F X, a six-time winner over the track.
