* Nick Geach, Santa Margarita: Doubled in the game-winning run in the bottom of the sixth inning, and Matt Cusick had a two-run single and a triple for the No. 8 Eagles in a 4-3 victory over Anaheim Esperanza in the seventh-place game of the El Dorado National Classic.

* Cord Phelps, Santa Barbara: Was two for three with two runs batted in for the Dons, who scored all seven runs in the sixth inning, in a 7-3 upset of No. 14 Anaheim Servite in the championship of the San Luis Obispo tournament.

* Ray Hensley and Ryan Tucker, Temple City: Hensley hit a solo home run in the second inning, and Tucker threw a two-hitter, striking out five, for the Rams in a 1-0 win over La Puente Bishop Amat in the Chino tournament.

SOFTBALL

* Shameka Smith, L.A. Dorsey: Hit the game-winning solo home run in the bottom of the seventh and had a run-scoring double in the fourth for the host Dons in a 5-4 Coliseum League victory over L.A. Fremont.

BOYS’ VOLLEYBALL

* Darryl Shiraishi, Valencia: Had 26 assists and three blocks for the No. 4 Vikings in a 25-14, 25-13, 25-23 Foothill League victory over Saugus.

BOYS’ TENNIS

* Larry Wang, Fullerton Troy: Swept his singles sets, 7-6, 6-2, 6-1, and the doubles team of Andrew Hyun and Henry Yan also swept for the No. 9 Warriors in a 10-8 Freeway League victory over previously unbeaten Fullerton Sunny Hills.

* Josh Lederman, North Hollywood Harvard-Westlake: Swept at No. 1 singles for the undefeated, No. 3-ranked Wolverines in a 12-6 nonleague victory over Brentwood.
