Amtrak Locomotive Hits Commuter Train

An Amtrak locomotive jolted the rear of a packed Long Island Rail Road train as the two lined up in a tunnel leading to Manhattan’s Penn Station, injuring nearly 130 commuters and crew members, most of whom suffered cuts, bruises and sprains.
The collision catapulted commuters to the floor and whipped others forward into adjacent seats, according to witnesses.
