75 Suspected Illegal Immigrants in Custody
From Times Staff Reports
About 75 suspected illegal immigrants were in custody Tuesday night after police received a tip about people being held in a house against their will, police said.
The anonymous call about 8 p.m. led police to a house near 109th Street and Santa Ana Boulevard, said Los Angeles police Officer Ed Funes.
Hours later, officers were still trying to determine whether smugglers were among the people detained.
