The Darkness shed some light in L.A. In two nights at the Henry Fonda Theater over the weekend, the U.K. rockers inspired fans to blaze their lighters in ecstatic approval. Chilling to the Darkness were Jack and Kelly Osbourne, Dave Grohl, the Donnas and Rob Zombie.... Whole lotta love in the house at Avalon on Tuesday, when Camp Freddy celebrated the first 103 days of Indie 103.1 FM, the new alternative radio station. Joining Camp Freddy on stage were Sex Pistols’ Steve Jones, Green Day’s Billie Joe Armstrong, Lisa Marie Presley and Linda Perry, who sang the Led Zeppelin classic “Whole Lotta Love.” In addition, the rock ‘n’ roll supergroup, featuring Billy Morrison, Matt Sorum, Dave Navarro, Donovan Leitch and Chris Chaney, just signed up to do a radio show on 103.1 -- Saturdays from 6 to 8 p.m.... Don’t miss soulful crooner James Intveld at Club Lingerie on May 7.

Kicking off the weeklong Artivist Film Festival at the Egyptian Theatre in Hollywood tonight is Dramarama’s John Easdale, who’s performing a free set in the courtyard along with performers Tian and Kelly Moneymaker.... New night pumping at El Centro in Hollywood on Fridays called Fixations, with DJ Incision working the turntables.... Big doings at the Key Club: For starters, KISS’ self-proclaimed lothario, Gene Simmons, celebrates the release of his new solo album tonight. Tomorrow, it’s the first live performance in five years by Tommy Lee. And don’t miss Shorty Da Pimp, a.k.a. Too $hort, on Sunday night. One of the originators of the rap game, Too $hort’s too live.

Famed Hollywood watering hole Boardner’s has some cool weekly shenanigans. On Sundays, check out ELECTROcution, with DJs Thermal Detonator and Creep spinning future pop. And don’t miss Liquid City on Wednesdays, a tribute to ‘80s punk and rock. Finally, at Thursday’s Debaser club, DJ Morty of the Spazmatics spins wildly geeky music. It’s revenge of the nerds, and then some.
