Messina undergoes alcohol rehab
Country singer Jo Dee Messina is in an alcohol rehabilitation program in Utah, her manager confirmed Friday.
She checked herself into a facility near Sundance on Feb. 20, the same week it was reported that her engagement to road manager Don Muzquiz had ended, said Stuart Dill of Refugee Management Inc.
Messina, 33, completed a 30-day program and will continue as an outpatient through this month, Dill said. He expects her to be back in Nashville the beginning of May.
The Boston native, whose hits include “Heads Carolina, Tails California” and “I’m Alright,” is scheduled to resume touring as of May 30, according to her official website. Her next California show is slated for July 10 in San Diego.
