Fighting muscle aches and chills, catcher Chad Moeller of the Milwaukee Brewer hit for the cycle Tuesday night in a 9-8 victory over the Cincinnati Reds.

The Brewers rallied from an 8-6 deficit in the bottom of the ninth inning and won on pinch-hitter Bill Hall’s two-out, two-run homer against closer Danny Graves.

“I really do feel under the weather,” Moeller said. “My whole focus today was really just getting through nine innings behind the plate somehow, some way.”

Moeller homered in the second inning, doubled in the fourth, tripled in the fifth and singled in the seventh, becoming the first Brewer to complete the cycle since Paul Molitor in 1991.

Atlanta 12, San Francisco 3 -- J.D. Drew and Johnny Estrada homered, and Marcus Giles had three doubles among his four hits, and the Braves ended a four-game losing streak at San Francisco.

Barry Bonds was 0 for 2 with two walks.

San Diego 3, Montreal 0 -- Ismael Valdez gave up four hits in eight innings, and Mark Loretta homered at San Diego.

Valdez (3-0) has the best record of any Padre starter. He came within three outs of his first shutout in nearly five years.

Colorado 13, Florida 10 -- Vinny Castilla hit a tiebreaking three-run double in the eighth inning, and Jeromy Burnitz homered twice to lead the Rockies at Denver.

Burnitz, Charles Johnson and Matt Holliday hit consecutive homers in the third, the second time in franchise history Colorado hit three homers in a row.

Philadelphia 7, St. Louis 3 -- Pat Burrell had four hits and drove in three runs, and Mike Lieberthal hit a tiebreaking two-run homer in the sixth at St. Louis.

Houston at Pittsburgh, ppd. -- The game was postponed because of cold weather and the threat of sleet and rain. It was rescheduled as part of a doubleheader Sept. 9 during what becomes a five-game series.
