Mike Wallace wins the argument

Share

CBS News’ Mike Wallace got the good news this week that he is off the hook for his arrest this month on disorderly conduct charges and no longer has an October court date.

The veteran “60 Minutes” anchor even got an apology from New York City’s Taxi & Limousine Commission over the incident, which took place when Wallace had his Town Car driver double-park as he stopped to pick up a takeout dinner of meat loaf and mashed potatoes. The commission told Wallace that the officer overstepped his bounds when he arrested the reporter for arguing with him.

A CBS News spokesman said Wallace was happy the situation has been resolved.
