Selby obituary -- The obituary in Sunday’s California section of former Pomona Mayor G. Stanton Selby misidentified him as Stanton G. Selby.

Selby was elected to the Pomona City Council in 1977 and served as mayor from 1983 to 1987. Despite the city’s serious budget deficits, he was a strong advocate of redevelopment, including massive expansion of the Los Angeles County Fairgrounds.
