Teens Plead Not Guilty in Rialto Man’s Slaying
Two teenagers pleaded not guilty Monday to the fatal shooting of a 34-year-old Rialto father who was walking to buy medicine for his 3-month-old son.
According to authorities, Walter Comminey, 18, and David Goffney, 16, confronted Jose Luis Soria and tried to rob him in a parking lot Nov. 24.
Rialto police say Comminey fatally shot Soria as Goffney and a 13-year-old accomplice watched.
The name of the 13-year-old has not been released because the teen is not being charged as an adult, a San Bernardino County district attorney’s spokeswoman said.
