Share

None of the six 2-year-old fillies scheduled to run in today’s $50,000 Raging Fever at Aqueduct is entering off a victory.

Winning Season and Secrets Galore are dropping out of the best race, having chased heavily favored Sis City in the Demoiselle, a Grade II, on Nov. 27.

Owned by Overbrook Farm and trained by Wayne Lukas, Winning Season is a daughter of Lemon Drop Kid, who ended Charismatic’s bid for a Triple Crown with an upset in the 1999 Belmont Stakes. She finished third in the Demoiselle, 3 3/4 lengths behind the winner, after breaking her maiden in her fifth career start over a sloppy track on Nov. 2 at Churchill Downs.

Corey Nakatani will ride the 4-year-old daughter of Candy Stripes for T N T Stud and trainer Paulo Lobo in the $39,000 allowance at a mile on the turf.

One for the road: Nasty Wildcat had a rough start in the slop in his debut at the Meadowlands on Oct. 19 and can improve with a clean trip and a dry track in today’s sixth at Aqueduct. Stewart Elliott has the mount.

Exotically speaking: A place pick all using Bless Her Heart in the first, Loucamania in the second, Jacklin, Playing ‘R Song and Squawk Talk in the third, Hot Market in the fourth, Cat Robber and Twice Unbridled in the fifth, Alphabetic and Arman in the sixth, Dyna Wild and John’s Kinda Girl in the seventh and Grayson Lear in the eighth.
