Teacher Is Sentenced to 10 Years in Prison for Child Molestation
A 38-year-old computer teacher at Vine Street Elementary School in Los Angeles pleaded guilty Monday to three felony counts of child molestation and was sentenced to 10 years in state prison,the Los Angeles County district attorney’s office said.
Antonio Cruz was accused of inappropriately touching seven female victims between May 2003 and January 2004, officials said.
Cruz was originally charged with five felony counts of committing a lewd act on a child and two misdemeanor counts of child molestation. But several charges were dropped in exchange for a guilty plea, officials said.
