Couple Indicted on Mutilation Charges
A couple were indicted Friday on federal charges of conspiring to perform genital mutilation on two girls and producing child pornography, authorities said.
Todd Cameron Bertrang, 41, and Robyn Faulkinbury, 24, both of Canyon Country, were named in an indictment that marked the first case filed under a federal law banning genital mutilation of girls younger than 18.
They were arrested after they struck a deal with undercover FBI agents to circumcise two girls they thought were the agents’ 8- and 12-year-old daughters, authorities said.
