Ganster Is Getting Better as He Gets Older

Still going strong at 11, Ganster will try for his 22nd career victory in tonight’s ninth race, a $12,500 claimer at 350 yards.

Owned by Guillermo Morales and trained by Jose Flores, Ganster, a gray, California-bred gelding, has won four of five since the beginning of 2003. He will make his 81st career start this evening.

Hector Cuevas, who was aboard for Ganster’s last victory, has the mount tonight and will face a field that also includes Shakin Assets, Manhood, Local Edition, Toast To Tom, Beating Thunder, Racin For Chicks and Silent Dasher.
